friend: hey arrrrr!!!! i'm so glad it's the holiday...
me: it is. it is national talk like a pirate day and i plan on doing it ALL DAY!
friend: how are you doing?
me: me be doin' good, matey. how you be doin'?
friend: a guy in my digital signal processing class was answering questions in a pirate voice... haha. i'm doing great!!! except i'm bad at pirate voices today... i be tirrrrrrrred, m'heartie.
me: did ye stay up a wee bit late?
friend: i done, i done... do you have pirate parties to attend tonight? i'm excited for the pirating...
me: i hope i do! but not that i know of... yet... do you? i mean... do ye?
friend: hahaha. do ye? Gibbs and company are doing one... so that'll be fun.
me: who's gibbs? your first mate?
friend: oh i thought he might've been a friend of yours... hahaha. yes. the first mate on the ship brdgerland.
me: that's a good ship name.
friend: the fine ship bridgerland. what ship you on these days?
me: the villa
friend: that sounds like an apartment complex!
me: it has sweet captain's quarters. it IS an apartment complex
friend: haha. i mean, ha. not two of them, just one. ha.
